At the Bhatgam Yatri Nivas, on this World Environment Day, trees were planted by Mrs. Talati Rishika Ben, Ms. Dhruvbhai, Sarpanch Ms.Shaileshbhai, and other local residents, together with members of the Gram Panchayat and small children.
During dandi march Pujya Bapu stayed at Bhatgam on March 29, 1930; to commemorate the life of Mahatma Gandhi local students organizing rally and praising his contributions.

The "National Sports Day" was celebrated as joint initiative of the Indian government's Ministry of Youth Programs and Nehru Yuva Kendra-Surat at Yatri Niwas Bhatgam (RK Decorators) managed by Gujarat Tourism Corporation. Boldly participating were the students of Arts and Commerce College Olpad in honor of Major Dhyan Chand on National Sports Day. In the sports festival, events such Tug-of-war, Musical Chair, and 100m Run were planned. Certificates and prizes were presented to the little pals in recognition. Divyeshbhai Gameet (Gender Specialist-2 DHEW SURAT), Maheshbhai Parmar (District Mission Coordinator-DHEW SURAT), Devipujak Manojbhai of Nehru Yuva Kendra Surat, and Smitaben Patel of the Office of Women and Child Officer Surat (District Mission Coordinator-DHEW SURAT) were featured in this show. Present were Harshabhai Rajput of Empire (Made in Sports Academy) and Gauravbhai Gauswami, together with Karthik Patel, who was in charge of Yatri Niwas Bhatgam.
